Oh yes, that happens since the dark ages if the browser wars:
MS Internet Explorer 3.0 UserAgent string is:
"Mozilla/2.0(compatible;MSIE3.0;AK;Windows95)"
And even today my Chrome tells me he is:
"Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/536.5 (KHTML, like Gecko)
Chrome/19.0.1084.52 Safari/536.5"
It's really no fun write a browser detection. :-/
