I don't know
(
java version "1.6.0_35"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_35-b10-428-11M3811)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.10-b01-428, mixed mode)
)

No information is given concerning the Java version
in the "About" menu.

I read this wiki. In particular, the new security feature is mentioned.
***
Default configuration in MacOS X 10.8 "Mountain Lion" has been reported to
block Jmol signed applet (at least in Safari):
A new security feature allows only apps from Mac Store or from trusted
developers to run. It may be changed in MacOS X preferences:
Go to Preferences -> Security & Privacy and click on padlock to allow changes.
In Allow appications downloaded from select Anywhere.
***

However, as I said in my previous mail, "Anywhere" is already checked in my
case ...

When trying to load another small jMol application, I got the
following message before the one I previously mentioned ("You do not have Java
Applets enabled in your web browser..."
:

***
Your web browser is not fully compatible with Jmol

browser: webkit version: 536.25 os: mac isBrowserCompliant: true
isJavaCompliant: false

mozilla/5.0 (macintosh; intel mac os x 10_7_5) applewebkit/536.25 (khtml, like
gecko) version/6.0 safari/536.25

***

I tried the Mozilla web browser, instead : I can load my jmol application ...
Thus,
it seems that Safari is unable to load jMol codes within the new Lion
environment... It is very strange.
Nonetheless, Mozilla gives me the opportunity to use jMol.

Thank you again for your help.
Sincerely.
Eric
