yes, Jmol has some interesting and possibly nonstandard flexibility with
regard to perspective. For example, the point of rotation can be anywhere
on the screen and at any point in the model.

And you can also "navigate through" a model. (A nice demonstration of this
is at http://www.stolaf.edu/people/hansonr/jmol/molecules/ (protein and
nanogear "tour" links on the left).
