I have been running on 1.4.2 on Linux and on WinME for a couple of months.

Sun says that 1.4.2 has graphics performance improvements. Some people
said that their applications ran better. I did not do any measurements,
but I didn't notice any difference with Jmol.

*IMPORTANT*
People should try to test out the 1.4.2 beta release *now*!
Both on Jaguar and on Panther.
If it doesn't work, we need to file bug reports (more than one, from
different people) immediately ... while there is a possibility of getting
it fixed.
