We cannot forget that a relatively large number of jmol users run with a
white background.

In most apps the 'tips' are showing up over the menus, where the menus are
a non-white color.

In this case, the 'hover' shows up over the atoms themselves ... and over
a white background.

You can try this color change by saying

background hover [255, 255, 195]

Q: Do you think it is a problem on white background?

Q: If I implement the black border, do you think that would sufficiently
address the problem on white backgrounds?
