Well, I am grateful for your response and Bob's. I don't know how to explain this - it just behaves this way very reproducibly on my machine. Haven't restarted my machine in a while so I will try that next. Just seems really strange, but I am very relieved that I am... seeing things no one else is... hmmm. ;^)
