Hi all,

I'd just like to mention a new Bioclipse-plugin that is able to
create nanotubes and visualize them in Jmol. For a short introduction
and screenshot, see http://bioclipse.blogspot.com/2008/04/jnanotube-
nanotube-plugin-for-bioclipse.html.

I think this is a good demonstration of the power of a Rich Client
with Jmol embedded; the GUI components generate XYZ files, which can
be visualized in Jmol, and when users are satisfied the file can be
persisted by dragging it into the file system. As an added bonus the
plugin can make use of the built-in features of Bioclipse, e.g. the
help system.

Note that the plugin is for the Bioclipse 1.2.x branch, and not the
new 2.x branch, where Jmol has much better integration.

Cheers,

/Ola
