I am seeing a similar bug in Jmol 11.8.11 and in Jmol 11.8.7, where the moveto commands result in a smooth movement to a seemingly final position, but then a small jump.
In addition, it looks like there is a more serious bug in 11.8.11. In Jmol 11.8.7, a specific moveto command works as expected, but the same moveto command with 11.8.11 moves the structure to a different position. Correcting the position and using show orientation to get the position, then issuing the command, again moves the structure to the wrong position.
