Hello, Martin "translateSelected" does waht it says ;-) When you load a file, all atoms are selected. So the question is: are your 2 molecules in the same model/frame or in two frames?
You probably do need "molecule=1" Check syntax for atom expressions at http://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/docs/#atomexpressions Note that "model 1" does not affect selection, just changes what is display.
