Dear Jmol users, In collaboration with Dr. Nicholas Provart at the University of Toronto, I have implemented the Jmol web applet as both a protein structure explorer and as a 3D protein-protein interaction network explorer within the ePlant project (bar.utoronto.ca/eplant). The protein structure explorer maps manually curated domains and catalytic/substrate binding sites from the Conserved Domain Database onto a proteome-wide structure prediction effort for the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. To our knowledge the 3D network explorer is a novel application of Jmol. We're interested to hear your comments on these applications and how they could be improved.
cheers! ~Geoff -- Geoffrey Fucile, PhD Candidate Genome Biology and Bioinformatics Collaborative Program Department of Cell and Systems Biology University of Toronto 25 Willcocks St. Toronto, ON M5S 3B2 Lab no. 416-946-8436 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Palm PDK Hot Apps Program offers developers who use the Plug-In Development Kit to bring their C/C++ apps to Palm for a share of $1 Million in cash or HP Products.
