I have reported in my previous e-mail that 12.0.8 (12 for short) is significantly slower than 11.8.24 (11.8 for short).
I have run a couple of simple scripts on an older computer directly on a desktop (no web-server involved). I have used an older windows xp machine 2.66 Ghz 4 GB memory Intel-core2 PC so I can measure the results with a wristwatch: isosurface peskin2 cutoff 0.05 phase color darkred darkblue atomicOrbital 2 1 0 1.0 11.8: 1 second (or less) 12: 4 seconds isosurface peskin3 cutoff 0.05 phase color darkred darkblue atomicOrbital 3 1 0 1.0 11.8: 8 seconds 12: 33 seconds(!) Qualitatively, the same slow down happens on web-embedded applets. Is that expected?
