Am I correct that it is not possible to put Jmol on a page in wiki.jmol.org?

Clearly, it would be useful to show examples.

Is there another wiki that is appropriate to show examples in Jmol of
how Jmol works?

-----------

Possibly Proteopedia could be used for this purpose, but (i) its Jmol
version lags behind because updating requires careful testing and
often some changes to the Molecular Scene Authoring Tools, and (ii)
the state scripts saved automatically by the Molecular Scene
Authoring Tools are modified by routines in Proteopedia. These
modifications sometimes affect the display in Jmol.

However, it is possible to upload a script file to Proteopedia and
run it with a button. This can be used to bypass the state-script
saving/modifying mechansim. It is especially useful when the script
is designed to play a series of scenes with transitions. The
Molecular Scene Authoring Tools can show only a single state of Jmol
-- this is usually a single scene, but can include a scene with "animation on".

Example of a scene with animation on:
http://proteopedia.org/wiki/index.php/Morphs

Example of using a button to play an uploaded script:
http://proteopedia.org/wiki/index.php/Molecular_Playground/HIV_Protease_Inhibitor
(Note: some of the echos/labels in this animation are unreadable due
to a temporary bug. Jmol is supposed to be rectangular, not square,
on this page. This used to work but recently has been broken. I have
submitted a request for it to be fixed to the Proteopedia team.)
