The command "spacefill off" doesn't switches off the label. And this 
behaviour is essential for our Jena3D Viewer because we use one atom of 
an annotated object like a 'PROSITE motif' or 'SCOP domain' for 
labelling the object. and most of the objects are not rendered as "balls".

Switching off the labels seems to be specific for "cartoon only".
