Wayne, there must be some way to do this. Since it's not a Java applet, we
can cover it as you suggest. The ready signal can be returned to the page
using the JAVASCRIPT command in Jmol at the end of your load script:
javascript "hideImage()"
But I think we need some sort of general function:
Jmol.setCoverImage(appletID,url)
and have that hide the image if url is null. Then we would add a parameter
to Info:
Info.coverImage = "xxxxxx.png"
and work with that.
If you want to experiment, feel free. The image needs to be installed at
the beginning of applet creation -- maybe from JmolCore.js in
Jmol._getWrapper
and removed when you see fit.
