It works fine for me.

Mac OS X 10.6.8

Chrome latest (29.0.1547.65) - smooth motion
Firefox 23.0.1 - smooth
Safari 5.1.9 - slightly jerky, still making maybe 12 - 15Hz
Opera 12.16 - slightly jerky

Can you display render time / frame rate from the JSmol popup ?
