Well, I have all flexibility or none. I would have to batch-rename all model files and then carfeully batch-edit all htm or spt files. I'd rather not do that; the site has quite a bunch of files and lives in a server I do not own (although I have ftp access) -- I'd like to mess as least as possible with it. 144 model files, ca. the same number of htm/spt files, across about 100 folders. Unless I can edit some JSmol source code to add 3 custom extensions... If I must rename the files, then making them .gz or anything else is the same, no problem.
