I am beginning to look at converting my web tutorials from jmol to jsmol. So I
went back to look at the SuperSimple JSMol example, which has problems with
Safari. I did a copy of the source file and pasted it into a text processor,
Textwrangler) saving it to the desktop under a new name. I then dropped the
file into the jsmol directory of a freshly downloaded jmol. That file now
works as expected (no hang) on my desktop.

Hmmm. So I transfer it to the campus web server and try to access it. Again
it now works fine.

I look at the other simple files in the jsmol directory — for example
simpleOpt.htm. Will not work. I load it into a text editor and save it under
a new name, simpleOpt2.htm, and it works fine.

You can access the first example at the following URL. Otis, can you see if
that works for you?

www.saintmarys.edu/~pbays/jsmol/SimpleJSmol.htm

What’s going on??
