Bob,

I've been playing with model kit mode again this morning. The more I play, the 
more it looks like things are working. With the exception of closing model kit 
mode activity, the problems seem to be related to menu check uncertainty. When 
you have conflicting boxes checked, attempts to get a single box checked lead 
to uncertain actions.
