Sorry I was confused at the beginning between your using jmol.php and the
error mentioning jsmol.php. They are different things.

Nick's previous reply is more enlightening and precise, and inded it seems
that there has been a change is Firefox's policy about protocols.
I am not seeing that exact error about "Synchronous XMLHttpRequest", but I
see other errors complaining about missing jsmol.php

1. Your page calls "jmol/Jmol.js" which is not there :(
That's a problem, or at least a nuisance.

2. I get a couple of errors of the form

Error connecting to server: Error connecting to server:
http://your.server.here/jsmol.php? etc

And of course, "your.server.here" is not what we want. It should be the url of
your server if you have installed JSmol in it, or else
http://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/jsmol/php/jsmol.php

But then it seems that piece of code is not being provided by you. Must be
coming from jsmol.php then ?
Then you need Bob to reply to this reliably.
