Have you recently updated MacOS? It could be that Macs are now blocking local file access by AJAX . What browser are you using?
a) try another browser b) note that this is only a local-file problem c) look for a way to enable local file access in your browser, for example, on Windows: see http://wiki.jmol.org/index.php/Jmol_JavaScript_Object#Current_limitations_of_JSmol Q: Can you double-click on the Jmol.jar application and see it run? Or do you get a security error there as well?
