There is still one problem left with 'HoverCallback':

The documentation says (or at least I think it wants to say it and 
'indedently' means 'independantly', see below) that 'HoverCallback' is 
working independant of the setting of 'hover'. Unfortunately this 
doesn't seem to be the case with Jmol 14.3.8_2014.10.14. There it 
doesn't fire with 'hover off'.

set HoverCallback "function name"

     Sends a message indicating what atoms is being hovered over, 
indendently of whether hover is ON or OFF.
