That's wasn't very clear.
Jmol.Controls._scripts = [ "",
[appletId,script],[appletId,script],[appletId,script],...]
so a value of 1 for a button or menu option gets you the first
[appletId,script] array, and the second parameter of that is what you change:
function modifyScriptItem(i, script) {
Jmol.Controls._scripts[i][1] = script
}
