Otis, I think what you want is:
left-drag --> move atoms
*set picking dragselected*
left-drag --> rotate molecule
*set allowrotateselectedunbind "_dragAtom" // was left+dragunbind
"_rotateSelected" // was alt+left+dragbind "left+drag" _rotateSelected //
now left+drag*
clear all these
*unbind*
