I found another new Jmol vs old Jmol alert error message (versions per previous 
email). Try

Jmol.evaluateVar(jmolApplet0, "'hexane'.find('SMILES','CCC') > 0”)

on test2.htm.

I know. I know. Who would do that? In this case, it was an instructor (me) 
error in an answer key array on a web textbook quiz. My point here is that the 
earlier Jmol does not throw alerts on this kind of thing, while the new Jmol 
does. The error (see test2.htm) in this case is, I think, unrelated to “use 
strict.”

I’ve tried to change debug reporting but that does not seem to help.
