I don't know Eric, I used this at

no problem:
Jmol.script(jmolApplet0,"write t.png as PNGJ")
so maybe you meant there "capture cancel" ?
I suppose I could enable capture from JSmol, but I have always thought that
the price was just too high in terms of bad performance.
