I was exploring a SMILES problem with the version you loaded yesterday.
I just downloaded today's new version a few minutes ago, and I was careful to
empty cache. Both versions show a problem via the following steps:
1) From the Jmol console: load $C/1(\C)=C/C=C.C\1=C - model loads - no problem
2) From the Jmol console: select *;show smiles - C/1(\C)=C/C=C.C\1=C - no
problem
3) From the JavaScript console: Jmol.evaluateVar(jmolApplet0,
"{*}.find('SMILES')”) - C(/C)=CC=C.C/1=C
Subsequent loads get really strange for today’s version. This may have been
present last night, but I’m note sure. I did not check this.
4) From the JavaScript console: load $aspirin - loads - no problem
5) From the Jmol console: select *;show smiles - below
