Dear Robert and jmol list, thank you for your help about doing a double slab. That sounds like exactly the right thing.
However it doesn't seem to work with bxsf files. I need bxsf files because I am trying to show a Fermi surface. Imitating the script you sent, if I type: load "lead.bxsf" 3 , then jmol complains that about "unrecognized file format". So I tried just adding the "lead.bxsf" name to the isosurface slab command that you sent me: isosurface slab none slab plane {1 1 1 0} slab plane {1 1 1 0.05} "lead.bxsf" 3 In this case jmol ignores the slab commands and just shows me the isosurface. I checked that the slab planes do actually intersect the isosurface by plotting: isosurface p1 plane {1 1 1 0} Is there some way to get the slab command to cooperate with bxsf files? Thank you, Vincent
