Hi Angel,

OK, I concatenated the JSmol.min.js and Jmol2.js files with the following
command in Windows: “type file1 file2 > concatfile.txt”
Then I renamed “concatfile.txt” to “Jmol.js” and placed it in the folder where
the original version of Jmol.js resided.
And it works..!
I have many Jmol.js java based. Does this file concatenation approach gives
slower rendering of web pages? Or are there other performance differences?
With the most recent Java 8 update 91 the security prompt appears each and
every time a jmol applet page is reloaded! Hence the need to move to JSmol.

Thanks!

Subject: Directions for converting to JSmol

Hi All,
I am reading line 36 in Jmol2.js which says:

“3) Concatenate Jmol.min.js if you are not using jQuery … with this file to
form a new file (Jmol.min.js first, then Jmol2.js) and replace your current
Jmol.js with it….”

Two questions:
1. I don’t find any Jmol.min.js file in the downloaded .zip archive. Do you
mean JSmol.min.js?
2. When you say “replace” do you mean “rename the new concatenated file as
Jmol.js” ?
