It's a design feature, not a bug. The calculation uses:

However, here is my note in the secondary structure calculation for
C-alpha-only structures:

      // throw away the sheets ... their angle technique does not work well

This comment was made sometime before __JmolVersion="13.3.3_dev_2013.07.23"


I recommend that Proteopedia not remove the helix/sheet records.
