Bucharest Summer University 2008
The Students’ Senate in the Bucharest University of Economics – ASE gladly
invites you to take part in one of this summer’s most interesting educational
experiences: Bucharest Summer University 2008. This fourth edition of the
International Summer School, held annually in Bucharest, gathers professors and
specialists from all over the world to discuss the topic of “The Four
Fundamental Freedoms of the European Union”.
I. PERIOD AND LOCATION
The courses will take place between the 10th and 25th of August
2008. Together with speakers and professors from top universities around the
world, the 55 participants will spend 2 weeks in the Bucharest University of
Economics ASE campus and 2 week-ends in exploring particular destinations
across the country, chosen by the organizers for leisure time.
II. APPLICATION
In order to apply for Bucharest Summer University 2008 you will
need to fill in an application form and send it, together with your Curriculum
Vitae (in Euro Pass Format) to our Recruitment Officer - Maria Rînea, at
maria.rinea@ stud.ase. ro.
III. FINANCIAL SUPPORT
We offer the following types of financial aid:
A)FULL SCHOLARSHIP
We offer ten full scholarships, covering the entire cost of the
program. In order to apply you must submit the following materials to our
Recruitment Officer, Maria Rînea, at maria.rinea@ stud.ase. ro :
* the application form(you can download this from our website
www.bsu.ase. ro)
* your Curriculum Vitae (in Euro Pass Format)
* an essay (no longer than 750 words) about: "Europe's role in
the world economy in the next 10 years in your personal view"
* a letter of motivation (no longer than 500 words) –
telling us why you want to apply for Bucharest Summer University 2008
and how you think this will benefit you in the future
The ten applications that are ranked highest after evaluation by
our board of advisors will receive full coverage of costs. All the other
participants who submit their application for a full scholarship will pay a fee
of only 150 EUR for the Bucharest Summer University program. The fee covers
tuition, accommodation (housing + 3 meals a day), two trips, reading
materials and the welcoming package you will receive upon arrival.
Students must supply transportation at thei own expenses.
B) PARTIAL COVERAGE OF EXPENSES
Thanks
to our financial supporters, we can offer partial coverage of expenses
to all candidates who submit the following materials:
* the application form (you can download this from our
website www.bsu.ase. ro)
* Curriculum Vitae (in Euro Pass Format)
* a letter of motivation (no longer than 500 words) –
telling us why you want to apply for Bucharest Summer University 2008
and how you think this will benefit you in the future
All applications submittedfor this type of support will
pay a fee of 200 EUR for participating in this program. The fee covers tuition,
accommodation (housing + 3 meals a day), two trips, reading
materials and the welcoming package you will receive upon arrival.
Students must supply transportation at their own expenses.
NOTE:The full cost of the BSU program is 1075 EUR, however our
financial
sponsors will cover 80% of the cost for all the persons applying for
partial coverage of expenses. If you don’t wish to apply for any form
of financial support you should send only your CV and the application
form.
DEADLINES
The deadline for submitting your application is the 11th of July 2008.
