We have an opening for....... Position: Network Engineer with CCNA Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 6 Months This is a highly technical hands-on role. It is based on a project with tight deadlines and includes: - Providing expertise in implementing large scale networking projects. - Designing, implementing and enhancing the network monitoring and reporting systems in conjunction with the Systems Engineer Team (ExtremeWare, MRTG, Mercury Interactive SiteScope, Zabbix, Cisco Works, event correlation and notification) - Ensuring system security, availability and performance and that usage is compliant with IT Policies and Procedures - Problem investigation and technical support, primarily with respect to Cisco and Extreme routers & switches, Cisco, Checkpoint and OpenBSD firewalls. - Managing and monitoring hardware standards and software baselines and configurations Documenting system configurations, diagrams and procedures. Remote access infrastructure, Security systems (firewalls, Radius, IPS, port security) Internet connectivity - The primary responsibility is to develop Networking solutions and services from both a Managed IT and Business Continuity perspective. - To provide 3rd level technical support to customers and staff when problems are encountered that require stronger technical expertise. - To run technical networking projects in an environment supporting multiple customers within a shared network infrastructure. To execute project to completion in projected time frame. - High Level understanding of Extreme, Cisco, Unix, Intel, Networking and Storage in an Open Systems environment. - Cisco FWSM and/or ASA experience, Cisco ACE experience a plus - CISCO CCIE routing and switching.
