*Position : SYSTEMS ANALYST HEALTHCARE Location : Hartford, CT. Duration : 6 Months Hourly rate : $40/h*r *This position is with a healthcare client of mine. The manager has contacted me directly everyday for the past few days saying he needs someone good. The keys here are experience with Healthcare Claims Applications and mainframe experience (preferably DB2). This position is heavy on the Systems side, not the functional Business side. This position is looking to pay in the $40/hr . Send me your best consultants and I'd be happy to review the resume. Thanks! * Systems Analyst *Duties Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Guides and advises less experienced Business Analysts. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, at least four, typically six years of solid, diverse work experience in IT. Skills The Systems Analyst (SA) will help Business Analysts develop detailed business requirements, meaning the SA must help define all the possible scenarios within a business process, requiring the ability to think and work independently, and develop a broad and deep understanding of the end-to end business process. The SA turns requirements from the BA into system specs (use case and data sheets) from which Java developers construct enterprise services (applications), enabling a business process through technology in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment. Need experience developing loosely coupled interfaces so that the business process is not cemented in technology and the enterprise services can be utilized by all vs. a particular business unit (Claims, Eligibility, etc…). Must facilitate a code review to validate that the code ties back to the SA's system specs. Familiarity with how copybooks, SOAP, schemas, WSDLs and XMLs are put together.
