Position Description/Responsibilities:
Delivers a project on time, within budget, while meeting the client's expectations. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of departmental technology projects to achieve the goals or objectives of projects within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
Shares responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating activities pertaining to technology projects for a given business unit.
Aligns project goals with business objectives. Monitors project activities.
MS Project 2007, MS Project Server 2007 and MS Office skills required. EDMS, 21 CFR Part 11, eRoom, UML, XML, .NET, HP Mercury Suite, Oracle, and SQL experience preferred.
Experience implementing COTS and Custom Developed applications in a regulated environment.
Strong understanding of technology systems and requirements to effectively mediate between technology and business needs.
Demonstrated ability to direct multiple strategic projects/initiatives at multiple sites.
Technical knowledge with a demonstrated ability to apply solutions to complex business processes.
Ability to manage technical teams and work with time sensitive issues.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills. Excellent task and time management skills.
Ability to be flexible to the rapidly changing needs of the department and company. Responsible for all aspects of Project Management with accountability for budget, time line, resourcemanagement, risk mitigation and issue resolution.
Manage contractors in a flexible staffing pool (On shore/Off Shore) that will expand and contract with demand.
Leverage MS Project 2007and MS Project Server 2007 to manage project plans, solve issues, mitigate risks, manage resources, and track budget. Coordinate and execute deliverables for regulated systems.
Establish and track project objectives and success criteria.
Leverage Global Regulatory & Research Operations (GRRO) Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). See attached job description.
