8508 – The successful candidate will provide application development support on small to medium projects. The developer will be required to develop code, provide technical expertise, document work completed and transition knowledge to employees and/or IT support contractors.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience in database development and application programming to include development of custom reports, conversions, interfaces (screens, menus, and dialog programming) is essential. Troubleshoot problems/issues, in coordination with members of other support and development areas. Candidates must have experience analyzing, writing specs, developing, and unit testing application programs based on defined business processes and requirements. Working within a structured Systems Development Life Cycle Methodology Business Intelligence (end user computing, management reporting) development solutions Tools/Applications: Required (5 to 7 years in each of the following): Intermediate to Advanced MS/SQL Server 2005 experience (SQL and T-SQL) Advanced VBA for MS Excel 2003 & 2007 (VSTO) knowledge and experience Data Mart/Data Warehouse (dimensional model) knowledge and experience Intermediate to advanced .NET experience Performance tuning (both database and application level) Desirable: Mainframe IMS and DB2 data access Basic Qualifications: The successful candidate will have at least five years of experience as an application and database developer. Professionalism, strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment are essential. Must be comfortable working under the pressure of delivering quality results with schedule deadlines and must have a proven track record in meeting schedule for tasks while still meeting or exceeding business requirements and goals.
