Position: Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst Location: Dublin, OH Duration: 6 Months Technical Skills Possesses the in-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance practices, processes and techniques that can only be gained through extensive experience. Able to apply that knowledge to develop effective QA solutions, solve complex problems and mentor others. Extensive experience with all aspects of Quality Assurance as well as the execution and management of QA activities, including but not limited to: Thorough understanding of how to test complex systems. Understanding of white box and black box testing. Able to coordinate and participate in reviews of project deliverables such as business requirements, functional requirements and technical designs. Able to create test plans and cases based on business requirements and technical specifications. Able to determine test environment needs and coordinate their use. Documenting, maintaining and monitoring software problem reports. Able to use automated testing tools, preferably Quick Test Professional (QTP) or Empirix. Able to design and execute (automated and/or manual) test scripts. Able to create Test Data Management and Verification plans. Maintaining and distributing quality metrics and contributing to business and technical risk assessment. Able to coordinate and/or lead the effort of others as needed (e.g. small teams, UAT, etc.). Solid analytical skills. Ability to participate in project planning activities as they pertain to QA (e.g. task identification, assigning dependencies, estimating effort, etc.). Preferred . Experience with Siebel 7 or 8. Soft Skills . Excellent written and oral communication skills - communication is professional (adequate preparation for presentations, documentation is spelled checked and grammatically correct, emails are thorough and concise, etc.), timely and fact based. . Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members including senior management, business partners and end-users. . Able to present QA concepts and solutions in a group setting. . Able to work effectively in a team environment. Possesses excellent listening skills, is respectful of others and is able to provide feedback and express opinions in a constructive manner. . Self directed, innovative and goal oriented requiring no follow-up on assigned tasks. Work Experience Minimum 5 years experience in IT. Minimum 36 months experience on medium (6 months) and large projects (12 months) utilizing QA practices and methodologies. Experience with project management methodologies and techniques (status reporting, issue management, risk management, scope control analysis, defect tracking, test planning, implementation planning, etc.), understands the importance of communicating issues, risks, status, etc. in a thorough and timely fashion and can be relied upon to contribute in project delivery. Experience with complete software development life cycle including, but not limited to, planning and estimating, requirements gathering, analysis, design, construction, testing and testing methodologies, implementation, and deployment management. Experience in both leadership and mentoring roles. Expectations Willingness to work overtime as needed to support team goals and deadlines. Willingness to assist others without impacting ones own work. Willingness to comply with administrative requirements (status reports, time submittal, participate in team meetings, etc.). Certifications None required. Special Requirements Basic understanding of web technologies: HTML, JavaScript, ASP, XML. Oracle/SQL knowledge preferred. Ability to query tables and set up test data. Basic understanding of UNIX/Solaris.
