Position: Access Developer Location: Marlborough, MA Duration: 6 Months Summary of Key Responsibilities: Under direct supervision, participates in software development including design, analysis, and preparation, coding and testing of executable code. Will also modify existing databases as needed and create new databases based on predefined functional specifications. Import data from MS Excel into Access databases as needed. Essential Functions Required for Job: - Strong analytical skills - Thorough knowledge of VBA programming - Ability to work directly with users - Pharma background helpful but not necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Bachelors degree in IS, Computer Science or related field Experience: - 4+ years of VBA, MS Access, and MS Excel - 4+ years functional requirements development, design and programming - 4+ years in maintaining complex databases - 3 or more years in client-facing environment - Strong analytical skills and independent problem solving Complexity: - Projects range in complexity from simple worksheet conversions to full blown relational database creation. Additional Requirements: - Work hours may include meetings schedule outside of normal working hours. - Demands during peak times may require work hours outside of normal working hours. Occasional travel may be required.
