Configure and implement new and existing OS & applications software. • Research new products & technologies to improve system performance. • Work with vendors to develop/maintain current standards of performance. • Ensure adherence to procedures & processes for hardware, software, & applications. • Interact with multiple business units in deployment of new hardware. • Develop, modify, maintain, improve, & troubleshoot existing systems. • Perform HW & SW recovery. • Perform operational turnover on all system implementations. • Work with business clients to evaluate, streamline, & improve current systems, processes, & workflow. • Develop business case documentation. • Develop purchase requests & supporting documentation. • Work with vendors to install new systems. • Analyze and resolve operating systems & applications issues on various systems. • Develop troubleshooting tools to allow Systems Administrators to support products when they are put into production. • Generate & maintain reports and documentation. • Research & evaluate new technologies, products, & services, & recommend acquisitions & modifications as they relate to client application needs. • Review system performance measurement tools and prepare exception reports for management review. • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.' We are seeking experience in Active Directory, Windows server, Citrix, ESX Vmware and scripting. Our infrastructure includes a diverse network of systems & applications including Windows 2000/2003 server, global AD enterprise that spans multiple sites worldwide, Windows File Services on EMC SAN storage & a Cisco network. Some evening & weekend work will be required for projects to meet deadlines. This position is in an on call rotation. Some travel may be required.
