Work with client to identify requirements and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments (host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc. Research and evaluate alternatives and recommend efficient/cost effective solutions. Perform analysis and system design. Code new or modified programs, reuse code or integrate purchased solutions. Document, test, implement and provide on-going support. Identify and implement new uses of info tech. Act as expert tech resource to dev staff in all phases. *Non-Tech Responsibilities:* - May supervise, manage or act as PM for major projects. Accountable for effectiveness, quality and timeliness of project design decisions and ease of implementation. *Certification:* - Include, but not limited to, MS Cert Architect, Cert Tech Spec MCTS, Cert IT Prof MCITP, Cert Prof Dev MCPD, Cert App Dev MCADs and or MS Cert Solution Dev MCSDs Sun s Cert Java Dev IBMs Cert Solution Dev Oracle s Cert Prof Project Mgmt Inst PMI Project Mgmt Prof PMP or Cert Assoc in Project Mgmt CAPM *Level 1* - Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline, adv degree preferred, at least 7 yrs of systems analysis and program dev., supervisory, mgmt and admin experience, or equiv comb of education and work experience. Knowledge of client area s functions and systems, system and tech alternatives, and SDLC. Expert leading major system imps and integrations.
