Please respond to [email protected] *Sr. Lead COGNOS Developer ** Start Date: ASAP Duration: 8 Month Contract Location: Beaverton, OR 2 positions** * * * *Lead Exp is Must* *DESCRIPTION: * - Lead reporting teams that are responsible for developing and deploying business intelligence applications using Cognos. - Collaborate with BI Application Engineers and our business partners to develop high-level designs including logical models and functional specifications and framework models that leverage the clients EDW to create business solutions. - Facilitate and drive meetings with global participation. - Work with the team to ensure that the reports and model being developed using Cognos meets the business requirements. - Work with the business and IT teams to transition these applications into our production environment by providing support and training through the release cycle. - You'll be doing this work as part of the clients BI rollout in support of increasing the clients competitive advantage through the use of business information to make key decisions. - You'll gain exposure to global scenarios, which require technical savvy, communication skills and the ability to effectively multi-task. - Mentor other team members and help drive internal Global Business Intelligence initiatives. - Involved in developing applications in an integrated BI solution leveraging the Enterprise Information Store *REQUIRED: * o Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science (or equivalent with focus on databases and data modeling) or a related field o 2 years additional professional experience in lieu of a degree o 6 years experience in IT o 6 years COGNOS ReportNet o 5 years Developer o 2 year experience in a leadership and/or mentoring role (virtual or direct) o Extensive Cognos BI 8 Framework Manager and Report Studio experience required o 2 years' experience with relational and or multidimensional databases and data modeling o Strong written and verbal communication skills o Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of IT and business counterparts o Experience with the complexities of cross-functional issue identification, prioritization and resolution o Experience with developing project plans/timelines for small and medium size projects o Experience participating in multiple, complex projects and working with diverse teams in multiple locations o Ability to gather and understand business requirements and translate into IT solutions using Cognos o Experience with BI tools focused primarily on presentation and data-mining Expertise in Cognos Framework Development including best practice and standards for performance and optimal design o Write Business Reports *PREFERRED: *- Data Warehousing using Teradata experience --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Regards, John || Phone: 916 646 2080 Ext 212 || Fax: 916 646 2081 || Email: [email protected] || Website: www.key-soft.com || Note: This email is not intended to be a solicitation.
