Phase 2 and Phase 3 project experience – required 3. Pharma background – required 1. What is the purpose of this job? Describe the overall purpose and scope of the job. Focus on results the job is intended to accomplish. Provide all aspects of design and statistical analyses and reporting on clinical development projects. Insure timely completion of statistical analyses and reports. 2. Areas of responsibility 1. List the primary 5-7 responsibilities in order of importance. Include the most complex and difficult responsibilities. Participates in the design, analysis and reporting of research studies (Phase I – Phase IV); provides consultation on experimental design and statistical research approaches, requirements and scientific standards. 2. Develops statistical analysis plans and reporting specifications; advises as to choice of statistical analysis strategies and presentation of statistical results. 3. Uses a variety of advanced statistical software, methods and techniques to gather, analyze and interpret research data; advises and assists in the development of inferences and conclusions, as appropriate. 4. Prepares a variety of comprehensive statistical reports according to presentation requirements; participates in preparation of documents for regulatory submissions; participates in preparation of manuscript preparation, to include preparation of data summaries and statistical results, for publication. 3. Skills and behaviors List those skills and behaviors essential to perform the major responsibility areas. 1. Working knowledge of SAS and proficient in SAS statistical procedures 2. Excellent analytical, problem solving and computer skills. 3. Flexible, well organized, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills. 4. Work well with time pressures. 4. Training and experience What formal education (e.g.: degree, license) is required to perform the job successfully? What previous experience is required to perform the job successfully? *What abilities are essential to performing the job?* 1. Master's or higher degree in Statistics or related field. 2. Three to five years experience with pharmaceutical/clinical trials data directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above. 3. Knowledge of SAS programming and/or other statistical software. 4. Ability to analyze, interprets, and draws conclusions from complex statistical information. 5. Knowledge and understanding of the principles, concepts, methods and standards of statistical research. 6. Knowledge of programming logic and codes. 7. Skills in the use of database management, word processing, spreadsheet and/or presentation software. 8.
