Send the resume/Rate and Contact Info *UDB DBA * *Location: South Brunswick, NJ* *Duration: 6 Months * * * *REQUIREMENTS:* · 5+ years experience on *DBA* *UDB* · Strong background in Data Warehousing design principles and methodologies · Proficient in UNIX scripting · Excellent analytical skills and strong communicative skills and consultative abilities · Demonstrated proficiency in query performance analysis and tuning · Strong analytical skills · Strong verbal and written communications skills · Proven track record of success in tuning complex database environments · *Multiple partition database environment experience is must *** · *Experience in installing, configuring and managing and multi node group is must*** * * *RESPONSIBILITIES:** * · Provide production support of large 7x24 DB2 databases, supporting applications with rotating on-call duties after hours. · Troubleshoot production problems and working effectively with other team members to identify and address problems. · Perform data analysis to provide management with timely and accurate information. · Perform data management tasks as required loading, image copying, editing, restoring and removing data at the requests of our clients. · Tune of SQL code and assisting developers in writing and tuning SQL queries. · Test of new features or 3rd party tools. · Interact with DB2 support to resolve issues. · Physical database design. · Experience with data replication tools · Ongoing DB2 instance monitoring and troubleshooting · Physical database design, including complex partitioning indexes, buffer pools, storage management etc · SQL analysis and tuning of complex joins * * *Qualifications * · Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience · DB2 UDB (V8.1-V8.2) DBA experience on UNIX is required. · Experience using database monitoring tools.
