The client runs on a Sun/Unix environment using Oracle as the RDBMS and a Powerbuilder front-end. A working knowledge of C programming is required.
Candidates preferred with 3 years of experience in MMIS programming, also preferred with interchange sub-system environment.
Required skills (in order of importance)
Strong C programming Skills

- 10 years minimum C programming experience including embedded SQL
- 7 years of SQL experience preferably in an Oracle environment Good communications skills7 years experience in a Sun Solaris environment
- Ability to mentor and lead other Analysts
- Able to recommend and follow processes
- Advanced degree and/or demonstrated business and technical experience required
- Technical leadership
- Software Development Life Cycle using industry recognized tool set
- Demonstrated business experience
- Healthcare MMIS preferred.
Position Description:
- Develops and installs programs to support general business applications running on Sun Solaris platform
- Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products
- Using current programming languages and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications
- Monitor and support production systems
- Participation in on-call rotation will be required
