Position: Network Admin Location: Des Moines, IA /Chandler, AZ / Duration: 9-10 months Network Engineer We are looking for entrepreneurial, resourceful, and technically capable people to be an integral part of the consulting services side of ecfirst.com's on-site development and delivery team. Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree plus 7-10 years experience. Description: Develops specifications for complex systems, design, and test voice and/or data communications solutions. Designs complex system upgrades. Leads the evaluation of vendor proposals, conducts network studies and traffic analyses, develops network architectures, prepares forecasts of network traffic and capacity, and recommends modifications to the network configurations that reduce costs or improve service. Serves as a high level technical resource on large-scale voice and/or data communications issues. May direct or serve as a mentor to less experienced staff. . Will be responsible for our Data Center environments including our Network's Core. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): . Support all core modules and circuits within the core data centers and SuperNodes . Execute change into the above environments via the change control process . Assist on mitigating risk for the enterprise by proactively addressing capacity problems or any network related issues . Participate and/or lead enterprise level projects from an engineering perspective . Responsible for creating/updating network designs . Responsible for designing, implementing and testing . Research and implement industry best practices Minimum Qualifications . Four year degree plus 7-10 years experience . Enterprise level routing and switching experience . iBGP / OSPF experience . Spanning tree and other layer 2 switching experience . Layer 3 routing experience (6500/4500 series) . Network design/documentation experience . Ability to work effectively in a team environment Preferred Skills . CCNA, CCNP or CCIE certifications . Network Security background .
