*Sr. Java Web Developer
Contract: 6 Months

Location: Portland, OR--Locals or 100 miles within the Portland**

General Purpose - Web Redesign and Rhythmyx Replacement, Content Central
Releases

Conducts analysis, creates system specifications, and develops, tests and
implements solutions leveraging Enterprise Content Management, web content
management systems, and the delivery of web sites. Evaluates software
packages and provides recommendations to management.

*RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

*

   - Act as the technical lead for highly complex projects related to the
   development of new systems, applications or technology capabilities in
   support of business goals.
   - Provide technical direction for projects and engage in all phases of
   the development cycle.
   - Develop and implement strategies to execute large scale and complex
   projects through vision.
   - Act as the subject matter expert and consult with clients and IT in
   support of the companys IT strategy and overarching business requirements.
   - Consult and provide direction to clients at every level of the
   organization.


*REQUIRED SKILLS: *



   - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems
   or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and
   experience.
   - A minimum of five years experience in web application design,
   development, and/or installation.
   Outstanding knowledge of relevant technology, tools, and middleware
   including Apache, J2EE, Java, CSS, HTML, DHTML, XML, javascript, and SQL is
   critical.
   - Expert technical knowledge with hands-on experience managing systems
   development in new and current computing architectures and environments.
   - Experience in the industry or in an environment whose scope, size, and
   complexity are comparable.
   - Project management skills and the ability to develop and monitor work
   agreements and budgets, and determine specifications, schedules, and
   deliverables.
   - Communication and interpersonal skills for consulting with users to
   understand needs, define requirements, and provide effective solutions.
   - Knowledge of current Enterprise Content Management and web
   technologies, tools, applications, and vendors.
   - Advanced knowledge of web development techniques and experience with
   web content management systems.
   - Strong understanding of structured analysis and technical design
   concepts.

Preferences:
Experience with Day Communique or similar web content management system
preferred.
Experience with IBM FileNet P8 or similar enterprise document management
system preferred.
