Our client is looking for a Software TEST Design Engineer Location: Palo Alto, CA Duration: 6 months *Requirement:* This position is responsible for all aspects of QA from test planning, environment setup, execution, bug reporting, and results analysis. This position will focus on test development and will have responsibilities for testing our *mobile application* platform also. Candidate will be developing tests in C# and using Microsoft test frameworks. Candidate should have demonstrated ability to identify general and corner test cases. Ability to analyze and debug defects and provide developers with thorough defect (bugs) analysis. Candidate needs to have proficiency in translating general requirements into specific and comprehensive test plans. Candidate is expected to have strong communication skills, to be self sufficient and to participate on cross functional teams. Experience testing and administering client and server applications desired. Candidate should have a conceptual grasp of web system architecture and how client applications are built for this environment. Experience must include working in a *Unix and Windows programming environment*; Prior work with *Visual Studio, MS source depot, Tux.net, DATK/WMTF, WTT* are required and testing *XML, HTML*, or other forms of markup language and web services are desired. Candidate must show proficiency in programming automation tasks in shell scripts (Perl, MOD_Perl, and JavaScript). Experience developing tests for*APIs *and software/systems interfaces required. Experience developing software with C/C++ is preferred.
