Req Id: SAM-SRX-00003 Title: Java Swing Product Developer Location: Lexington MA Duration: 6 + months Rate: 35-38/hr (MAX) Job Responsibilities: Develops and tests product code according to quality standards Maintains knowledge of product environments and applicable software technologies Provides complete documentation in the form of commented code, problem status information, and design documents Performs thorough problem analysis that results in resolution of product-related problems according to support standards Carries out thorough unit testing; supports systems and integration testing as required to provide a quality product Provides input to the Technical Writers for all product documentation Defines the functional specification of program modules ensuring functionality, quality and ease of maintainability Accurately estimates the size and scope of the development effort as measured by the product delivery schedule Required Skills: Bachelor’s Degree Hands on experience in Eclipse RCP and plugin development. Expert level understanding of core JAVA technologies and object oriented programming concepts required. 3 - 5 years of extensive hands-on experience in GUI technologies. Thorough understanding of presentation, web, business and data access layers and their inter and intra communications. Experience in Swing rich client applications connecting to Java EE server applications, and familiarity with Eclipse / NetBeans plug in models is desirable Experience with full lifecycle of software engineering process including functional specification, design, implementation, testing is required.
