FMLS is looking to add another full time developer to our development
team. This is full time, on site position. We are not considering

PURPOSE 

 

FMLS relies heavily on its technology personnel to keep it ahead of its
competition and preferred among its customers when it comes to real
estate technology tools. We are looking for a new member of our high
performance team to serve in an application development role. In this
role you will work with the team to deliver the best solutions to the
needs of both our internal customers (FMLS employees) and our external
customers (our membership).

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

 

Applications developers design and implement applications for both
internal company use as well as external customers using ColdFusion MX
and Microsoft SQL Server. Responsibilities will span the full
development life cycle from inception through release and support. The
position involves daily interaction with other team members, business
stakeholders and intended users to deliver a quality product in a timely
manner.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

As part of the development team, you will be tasked from time to time
with maintenance work on our existing applications. You will work within
our support ticketing system to resolve these issues as they are
assigned to you. Effective communication within the team and business
stakeholders on these issues is critical to successful resolution.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

1.    3-5 years of ColdFusion programming experience (logic, functions,
CFCs, etc.)

2.    Understanding of ColdFusion Server development environment
(mappings, application architecture, variable scoping, client/session
management, error handling, transactions, etc.)

3.    Advanced HTML skills. Must be able to hand-code HTML without use
of WYSIWYG editors

4.    Understanding of basic Document Object Models/CSS

5.    Some experience with Visual Basic and/or C#

6.    Intermediate to advanced JavaScript skills

7.    2-3 years of experience with MSSQL relational databases (tables,
views, stored procedures, TSQL, etc.)

8.    Demonstrated experience developing ColdFusion applications that
interact with relational databases

9.    Experience with MSSQL Enterprise Manager / MSSQL Query Analyzer 

10.   Experience working within a Dev-Stage-Live environment with
multi-tiered applications.

11.   Working knowledge of web services and XML methodologies

12.   Proven ability to develop applications from technical
documentation including wireframes, logic flow diagrams, use cases, etc.

13.   Provides accurate estimates for proposed projects. 

14.   Attention to detail and code documentation/commenting

15.   Communication - be able to clearly state any issues or problems,
and be able to interpret business requirements as they relate to code
functions.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

*     Basic knowledge of Java

*     Any experience developing around or within the FTP protocol and
server side applications.

*     Demonstrated knowledge of Object Oriented programming

*     Demonstrated knowledge of technical documentation and software
engineering methodologies

*     Experience with source code management application such as
Subversion, CVS, VSS, etc.

*     Any Real Estate technology experience, especially with RETS.

*     4 year technical degree.

*     Certifications of any type are a plus.

*         Location: Sandy Springs 

*         Compensation: 50,000 - 55,000 / year + bonus + profit sharing
