I'm looking for the right person who can spend some time (1-2 weeks?) performing a code review and other auditing tasks for an existing Cold Fusion application to determine its weaknesses and potential failure points. Ideally, this person would be well-skilled in development methodologies and could audit the entire development process at the same time.
The application is built and hosted at an outside vendor in Florida, so discretion is a critical soft skill. This person will need to look and act like one of our own employees and be careful to play it out as a helpful, positive exercise, not an intervention. Since the application server resides in Florida, some of the work may be able to be done remotely, but much of it (especially around process) would need to be done on-site at the vendor. This will not be an easy job or a job for a beginner. On the client-side, our resources are too few (analysts, testers, etc.) and our documentation is too weak (requirements, test scripts, etc.), so we need someone who can quickly learn what the application is supposed to do and apply that knowledge in the review.
