We are currently seeking a Web Developer for our client company located in the Atlanta area. This company promotes a very personable, friendly working environment, and values every team member. Technical ability is equally important as being a team player. Fundamentally, this role is focused on client-billable development tasks and the person in this chair will always have something to do. Primarily a programmer, this web developer will be tasked with building admin tools, data driven displays, and custom scripts. This development role requires a deep understanding of interface design and best practices and though design skills are not required, the technical skills to execute designs are a necessity.
Responsibilities * Slice and optimize alt web template imagery from Photoshop! Fireworks source files provided by the designer * Generate pure CSS layouts based on designer mock-ups * Adhere to coding best practices and standards * Communicate efficiently with other team members and regularly practice pair-programming * Share CSS/interface expertise with development team members * Stay up to date with latest trends, issues and advancements related to the web technologies we use, particularly CSS and cross browser issues Required Skills * 2+ years of programming experience with a web programming language like ColdFusion, PHP, .NET, etc. * Some basic knowledge of ColdFusion and a desire to learn if not a ColdFusion developer already * 2+ years of experience writing SQL and using a data system such as Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL * Ability to comprehend and modify complex JavaScript with confidence to write basic JavaScript code when necessary * Superior CSS formatting and layout skills * Advanced Photoshop or Fireworks skills and ability to generate efficiently optimized graphics to build web templates * Self-motivated, accountable, enthusiastic and willing attitude to work within a dynamic development team * Please send your resume to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ● Veredus Corporation is a professional staffing firm, specializing in Information Technology staffing solutions.
