ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI), the only dedicated online company

for the childcare industry, is seeking a Web Applications Developer.
CCEI is based in Duluth, GA. CCEI has pioneered staff development and
education through it's online internet course delivery, state of the art
learning management system and industry leading certificate and training
programs including college credit options. CCEI is uniquely positioned
for rapid growth and has already secured national partnerships with
multiple national childcare chains and the National Head Start
Association as national training partners. CCEI is seeking candidates
at our headquarters in Duluth, GA., a suburb in North Atlanta. This
position reports directly to the Vice President of IT & Operations.
Summary:
The Web Applications Developer is primarily responsible for the
development and implementation of high quality web applications
developed in ColdFusion and MS-SQL which conform to the specifications
provided by the online product development team. Collaborating with the
Technical Project Coordinator and other necessary IT team members in
regards to project specs, usability and cross browser compatibility.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities of the Web Applications Developer will include,
but are not limited to:
* ColdFusion Programming:
* Develop ColdFusion Web Applications based on CCEI's web
application architecture and provided specifications
* Integrate SQL stored procedures, etc. into online
applications
* Implement provided interface design templates (including
CSS Styles and XHTML templates) into applications developed.
* Coordinate with all necessary team members for
revisions, documentation, and quality assurance as necessary
* SQL Programming:
* Utilizing a thorough knowledge of MS-SQL; develop stored
procedures, views, triggers, manage permission, etc. for use with online
applications.
* Technical Q-A Review & Implementation:
* Interface with Technical Project Coordinator and IT
team, testing web applications created to ensure that projects
requirements are met per project guidelines according to specifications,
checking overall content for consistency and implementing revisions as
necessary.
Requirements:
Creativity, organization skills, strong communication skills, analytical
skills and a high maturity level are necessary for success. Candidate
must have a detailed and strong overall knowledge of Information
Technology's role in business, must be well organized, and have
outstanding attention to detail. Outstanding communication and
interpersonal skills are essential. Candidate will focus on specific
quantifiable goals for achievement and possess a high standard of
personal ethics. A strong drive to help others achieve is also
essential. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced web

* Minimum 2 years web development experience, especially in the
following technologies
* ColdFusion MX7 or higher
* Strong Knowledge of both procedural & object
oriented programming methodologies as they apply to ColdFusion (custom
tags, functions, components, etc.)
* MS SQL (Including views, triggers, stored procedures,
etc.)
* Industry standard development applications
* College Degree (preferably in IT related field ) or equivalent
work experience required
* Must have superior written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to execute tasks on multiple projects with minimal
supervision
